R.I.P (2005-2009)
CMASS INSIDER IS NO LONGER

The CMass Insider didn’t have the money to hire a PR firm or the brains to make up a story about “restructuring” or “moving in a different direction,” so I’ll just give it to you straight.

The CMass Insider is no longer as of today.  It’s been a good run, but it’s time to step back and take a look at the future.  There’s no excuses from me. No blaming the economy, no blaming the government.  We’re just a small business who gave it our best shot and we’re not holding our breath waiting on our bailout money.

This magazine was started with nothing, no borrowed money, no consultants offering overpriced advice, so to have taken an idea this far, we’re grateful to you.

Although we met some great and inspiring people, made some new friends and offered what we thought were some pretty good stories about people in our community and had a lot of fun doing it, there comes a time when a hobby just gets too expensive to keep doing.  That’s the case. Pure and simple.

We’re very thankful to all of our advertisers and sponsors and to the local sports community.  There are a few of you out there who still owe us money and have been ducking us with excuse after excuse.  You’ll be getting a surprise visit from a group of large dudes in ski masks in the near future.

Kidding aside, though, I’m hoping this thing can be reborn soon with the help of someone who knows more about the business than some dumbass who managed to make the magazine work for four years without really having a clue as to how.

Hopefully, this stop in production will be more Evander Holyfield than Barry Sanders. We’ll see.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments or are a generous millionaire who likes sports and wants to pay the balance owed to our printer, you can always reach out to me at tom@cmassinsider.com.

Thanks again to all who have supported the magazine as a sponsor, subject of an article, reader or just one of the thousands of folks in the local sports community who just plain get it.
